EMNGPS/Oxfam School Leadership Project

EMNGPS and Oxfam ran a School Leadership for the Global Dimension project which resulted in a draft Leadership framework exploring how the Global Dimension can be proactively embedded in all aspects of school life. This tool has been completely informed by the experiences of the 18 primary and secondary Headteachers from diverse East Midlands Schools who took part. Phil Smith and Barbara Smith, joint Project Managers have done a superb job in facilitating the project and capturing the discussions.

With the forthcoming termination of EMNGPS, Rohini Corfield (EMNGPS Project Manager) suggests that:-

  • EMNGPS members use the tool to inform their future work

  • Lifeworlds Learning use the tool as appropriate

If you have any questions about this tool, please contact Rohini Corfield before 28 July 2010.

The tool has previously been circulated to other EES regions. The DEA and National College are also aware of it.

Many of the Headteachers involved in the project have gone on to embed the Global Dimension into their schools in creative ways.

Thank you to all colleagues who participated in this project, including those who shared their expertise on the Project Advisory Group.
